The Artist-Blacksmith's Association of North America (ABANA)
is dedicated to perpetuating the noble art of blacksmithing. A blacksmith is one who shapes and forges iron with hammer and anvil. ABANA encourages and facilitates the training of blacksmiths; disseminates information about sources of material and equipment; exposes the art of blacksmithing to the public; serves as a center of information about blacksmithing for the general public, architects, interior designers, and other interested parties.

The Masters Gallery
Why a Masters Gallery?
The key to the historical preservation of blacksmithing and the metal-arts is in the continued endorsement and publicity of "The Masters of Blacksmithing". Often succeeding in times when blacksmith created items were more necessity than novelty, they were highly respected craftsmen.
The Masters Gallery displays works from famous historical blacksmiths like Cyril Colnik, Thomas Googerty, and Chris Ray.
Through these individual artist galleries, we hope that you will find inspiration, gain a little knowledge of the storied history of blacksmithing, and gain an appreciation for the skill with which these artists practiced their craft.
